Our Organization
Our Mission & Values
Pakistan Ball Hockey Association has been created to advance hockey initiatives across North America and Pakistan.
Pakistan Ball Hockey Association (PBHA) promises to assist Pakistan Ball Hockey Federation (PBHF) in regaining its status with the ball hockey globally and with the ISBHF. Along with the new emphasis on organization at the international level, the PBHA intends to form alongside PBHF a new leadership structure with all international teams at all levels. This new structure will place more support and oversight into the workings to fully grow and develop street and ball hockey in Pakistan and globally where there lie pockets of Pakistani heritage players. The goal of more participation on the domestic level will lead to more participation on the international level as participants’ skills develop and the game grows to areas where the sport does not exist. Domestic growth and development must be a priority for each member nation’s governing body. Without an emphasis on participant growth and development, a national governing body fails to fulfill one of its greatest objectives to the international community.
The ISBHF which states that growth and development are one of their own major objectives can be found on the ISBHF website: ASSIST IN THE WORLDWIDE DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION OF THE GAME. A nation with a long and storied background and history in hockey, no matter the form of hockey, should be a leader in growth and development, not a bystander or non-entity. The PBHF structure shall place an emphasis on participant growth and development over the coming years and decades in Pakistan. PBHA plans to operate with national growth and development directors, a national youth and women’s hockey director and regional youth and women’s hockey directors. The national growth and development directors will work with major corporate sponsors in the hockey community, whom PCBHA will secure. The goal is to push the development of long-lasting local, regional and national partnerships for the formation of rinks, leagues and programs. Among many other objectives, the national growth and development directors will push for a renewed focus on bringing the sport to all socio-economic areas within Pakistan.
